Nothing special

dram told me to update my site, so I'm doing that. Nothing much to report. LAN party at netty's house next month sometime I think. quake3 almost every night at quake.teamslack.net. I failed my first attempt at my MCSE 2003 test (70-290). I'm gonna restudy and pass it. Other than that, life goes on.

Boring

It's amazing how few interesting things I do when I work 40 hours a week. On the plus side, I'm soon going to be one test closer to getting my MCSA/MCSE. Joy.

Our pool is FINALLY done! It should be finished filling with water by lunch time today. It's taken SO long, but it looks nice. I'll have pictures up later.

CPU death

Sucks. My CPU died. So now I'm at a crossroads. Should I continue down the path of athlon-xp, or should I make the big jump to athlon64... I suppose I probably SHOULD go to amd64 right now, because I know I'm gonna do it sooner or later. OK, I just talked myself into it. I just bought a Shuttle SN95G5 computer from newegg.com. I got 2-day shipping and rush processing for just $6 more. So it should be here by Thursday.

Biostar 200NB
Biostar 200NB

I got a new case/mobo recently. Just 2 weeks ago, I bought a Biostar 200NB from newegg.com. So far, I've put an AMD 2600+ inside it, as well as an ATI 9800np and 512mb of Corsair VS (3200) ram. Good stuff. It worked really well at the lan party last night. The only downside so far has been that the temperature sensor doesn't work, so I don't know how hot this thing is running at the moment. I'm going to email newegg tommorrow to see what they recommend. Also, it doesn't look like I'll be able to fit the Creative Audigy2 ZS Platinum inside the case next to the video card, so that was unfortunate (although the computer doesn't have a pretty nice soundcard onboard, so it's not a huge loss). The specs on it are:
